SECTION 1 --- personality
1) imagine the following situation : its 2 o'clock in the morning and you
wake up at once. you turn on the light with the switch next to your bed and
the first thing you see is a spider sitting on your blanket. what would
happen next?
I would jump out of bed, (I can move pretty fast if I am scared) throwing the
covers off so the spider would go flying. I would spend the rest of the
night looking through my room for the spider, with the flyswatter in hand.
If it was a really big spider, like a wolf spider or a garden spider, I would
go get my mommy, too. :)
2) if you could choose a hero-super-power...which one would you pick?
Any of those will get you in trouble eventually. What if you are seen one
too many times while flying? What would you do if you knew what everyone
thought of you and everything else (I believe some level of deception and
privacy, etc. is good)? And if you had powers to help others and stop crimes
like all good superheros do, would you be willing to give up your normal
(haha) life to do that? I am pretty happy the way I am, and I don't want to
spend my life fighting crime (I'm too busy fighting the negaverse). I guess
maybe, though, it would be nice to be able to talk to animals and plants.
3) imagine the following situation : all your friend want you to go out with
somebody you really like as a friend but wouldnt want to go out with...that
somebody asks you to go out with her/him. what happens next?
Definitely would not go out with them. It's me who will have to spend time
with them, not my friends.
4) if you saw somebody dropping accidently $100 while looking for something
in his/her wallet and the begger lieing on the street sees it and starts
moving towards the bill...what would happen next?
Let the beggar get it.
5) who is better off...the person with lots of people he/she knows but no
real friends or the one with just a few really good friends?
Someone with a few really good friends...
SECTION 2 --- your view on things
1) if you want to overthrow a government...do you have to influence it from
the inside or from the outside looking in?
Historically speaking, the fastest way to change a government (and keep it
changed) has been with a bloody rebellion, or a carefully planned take-over
of the capital. The most moral way is to go through proper channels nine
times out of ten. However, I am not really certain. I guess it depends on
how fast you need it done.
2) what do you think of contest-thinking and rivalry?
I think it is great, as long as you don't take it too far, and start to think
that you are better than someone else just because you beat them at one
thing.
3) what do you think of pride (pride of your country/color/social
status/yourself)
Everyone needs some pride in themself to have self-esteem, am I right? Pride
in your country, color, social status, those are all good things, too. I
draw the line with all pride, though, when you begin to think that you are
better than someone else (well, maybe not with country. I pity some other
countries with less freedom and/or more poverty. But that still doesn't make
Americans themselves better than say, Chinans)
4) do you expect a certain level of intelligence of someone who wants to be
your friend? (if someone is NOT your friend yet)
No, not really, but I woud probably never get really close to someone who
couldn't think for themself, or someone who just didn't care.
5) would you be friends with someone just because he/she has something you
want or need or because its just him and it looks cool to hang out with
him/her?
No. I'd be hurting both of us.
6) why do people spend money they dont have on things they dont want to
impress people they dont like?
because they're idiots! Who does that? If they had the money, or if they
wanted it, or if they liked the people, that would be another story, but this
situation! I guess they just don't realize or admit to themselves that they
don't have the money, or that they don't really want it, or that they don't
need the approval or acceptance of whoever they might be trying to impress.
That's really, really sad.
SECTION 3 --- LIFE!
1) what do you expect from life?
Work to do, and joy as my payment.
2) is a career involving making a shitload of money important to you?
No, but that opinion may change if I end up penniless. That would suck.
3) what is the memory you think most of?
Right now, what comes to mind is this one time, after I had seen The Red
Violin with Nick, and it was really windy outside, and the light was
beautiful. The mood was so happy and peaceful and perfect.
4) do you remember the first 4 years of your life?
Parts of it, but really only vaguely.
5) what is love? (i know its not that easy but try to keep it short...)
hmmm. Love is when you realize, I mean really realize how human other
people or another person is. How much they are like you. How we all face
some same basic problems. How no matter how strong anyone appears, we are
all really fragile. And suddenly realizing this, you realize that there is
nothing that could possibly make you better than anyone else. And
inexplicably, you want to share this knowledge with others. Beyond that is
where I think it gets different for every different type of love. We could
start talking about love for a while, if you like. That would make for some
good, thougthful e-mails.
6) would you want to live forever if you had the choice or do you like a fast
life and die young?
I would like to live for a while, enough time to get whatever I need to in
life accomplished, but I would not like to live forever. I don't want to
"live fast, die young, make a beautiful corpse" either. If you were to learn
anything from that sort of life, I bet it would be very, very painful.
SECTION 4 --- abstract stuff
1) whats better...blind or debth?
Dear God, please don't make me choose. Deaf, no music, or other
neat/beautiful sounds. Blind, no physical beauty.
2) what comes to mind...'the one-eyes among the blind'
A prophet, that is one who sees something that everyone else doesn't. (The
one who is eyes among the blind)
3) what comes to mind...'tomorrow theres always a day'
I agree with Cheeser. This is a great phrase for procrastinators. Too bad
Kelley is right too, and eventually, there won't be another day.
4) is killing wrong? (ethicly) Yes. I'm not saying that soldiers are
murderers, they had to, and if in self-defense or defense of another person,
well obviously that's not unforgivable. But yeah, it is still wrong.
5) is it wrong to sleep with someone else than the person you love?
Yes for me, but I won't fault those who have other views. Everyone has to
decide for themselves what sex is for, and everyone should also realize the
risks. Lots of people never do either.
6) whats worse...loving someone and never actually tell her/him or telling
people all the time that you love em but dont actually mean it?
those are both pretty awful.
for the first, what if they are the one, and by not telling them, you could
be dooming them and yourself to a life of loneliness as well as the wondering
(and they could be wondering too, becuase maybe they like you but are just as
afraid to say anything).
for the second, if/when you break up with them, you will only hurt them more
if you told them that you loved them and didn't mean it.
SECTION 4 --- miscellanious
1) do you think youre older than you actually are?
yeah, I must admit I do. Maybe not in practical things like housework, experi
ence, or knowledge, but I sometimes feel a little wiser or more mature than
seventeen. (not that much, though. heheheheheh)
2) do you think youre better than some/all other people?
no.
